LEADERSHIP ACADEMY

The Leadership Academy is a multi-level program designed to expand the knowledge of our future leaders in five key categories: Business Fundamentals, Financial Acumen, Customer Focus, Communication, and Management Skills. Through this program our employees are strategically placed in a position for success, allowing them to take on senior and executive level roles within Infrasource.

Leadership Academy I focuses on the operational execution skills needed to advance to the Superintendent & Project Manager level. Leadership Academy II focuses on the development of the strategic execution skills needed for Operations Manager and Director roles in the company.

Infrasource partnered with Vector Force Development, a veteran-owned business, that works to transition military veterans to jobs in the utility industry, whether it be in the field or the office.

This initiative will benefit our nation’s heroes returning home – and the industries we serve by providing a new source of skilled, dependable leaders. The U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation’s Hiring Our Heroes (HOH) initiative launched in March 2011 as a nationwide effort to connect veterans, service members, and military spouses with meaningful employment opportunities. Working with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s vast network of state and local chambers and strategic partners from the public, private, and non-profit sectors, the goal is to create a movement across America in hundreds of communities where veterans and military families return every day.

STEPPING UP TO SUPERVISION

We have established this program for employees recently promoted to supervisory positions, teaching concepts that are practical and relevant to the issues faced in daily work. This educational tool is designed to showcase ideas, skills and techniques to help you become more effective in your new role.

You can become a successful leader by learning to engage your team, listen to their ideas, and resolve challenges to make sound decisions. Additionally, create an action plan to put new leadership strategies into place immediately.

A few covered topics include but are not limited to: The fundamentals of supervision, communication, productivity, and conflict resolution.

INTERNSHIP PROGRAM

We are seeking motivated individuals excited about developing new skills and interests, while building their professional network as they embark upon a new and fulfilling career. Each participant will have the opportunity to utilize classroom studies while working on real-life projects, maximizing their hands-on knowledge experience on the job training.

All students gain exposure to senior leadership and top industry experts while speding time at job sites. Interships are located across the U.S. and may include travel. Timeframes are between May and August.

Areas of opportunity include: Engineering, Project Management, IT, Finance, and More.

CAT PIPELINE SAFETY LEADERSHIP PROGRAM

Caterpillar, PipeLine Machinery International (PLM) and a group of the industry’s leading companies present a safety leadership program specific to the scenarios, conditions and environments in which pipeliners operate every day. Quanta Services was involved in the development and funding of the program. Mear’s Group, Inc. was the first organization to complete the train-the-trainer program.

This program is packed with real-life examples explored through engaging videos, role-play exercises, interactive activities and provocative discussion topics to convey the power of culture on safety performance. With an emphasis on personal accountability and incident prevention, the training provides leaders at all levels insight into their role in influencing the attitudes, beliefs and behaviors that drive culture.
