InfraSource Project Manager
“I believe that how we act when no one is looking is a true image of who we really are.”
In November of 2014 Brian Johnson came onboard at InfraSource as the Mid-West Project Manager of Special Projects. Soon after there was a need in Northern Virginia working with steel crews for Washington Gas so he was there until the need surfaced in Maryland and then Pennsylvania and now he is back in Ohio as Project Manager for the Buckeye Project. It’s those types of changes that Brian says he enjoys most about working for InfraSource – the diversity! He says working with steel pipelines generates many challenges…weather, subsurface conditions, personalities, terrain, etc. He goes on to share that there are very few slow times in this field and every day is different. The Core Value that means the most to him is “Integrity”. He says that it is important to do the job right every time, regardless of who he is working for or with or who is watching.
Brian and his wife, Cheryl, have 10 kids between the two of them – almost the Brady Bunch after blending their families. Though most of the kids are older and out of the house they have a blast when together at holidays and special occasions. He says “Our kids are competitive and we usually have a game or two where things get hilarious”. This is a banner year for the family with a grandbaby on the way with one daughter and a wedding in July with another daughter. The couple manages to also make time for their four Golden Retrievers and usually three litters of puppies each year. Brian loves to build and repair things and says IF there is free time he is usually working on a car or truck, or a home renovation project. He also enjoys hunting, camping, and sitting around a camp fire with a guitar and singing with the kids.
