While traveling between work locations, InfraSource crew member John Andreas demonstrated exceptional awareness, compassion, and commitment to safety when he encountered a situation that required immediate action.
At approximately 2:00 p.m., John was mobilizing to another work point when he noticed an elderly gentleman trapped beneath a zero-turn riding lawn mower that had rolled over onto him near McNees Road and South Main Street in Port Trevorton.
Recognizing the seriousness of the situation, John immediately and safely pulled over to assist. Acting quickly, he rushed to the man’s aid and was able to push the mower off him. Once the individual was free, John helped him back to his feet and assessed the situation.
Although shaken by the incident, the gentleman was able to communicate and express his gratitude for John’s assistance. Thanks to John’s willingness to stop and help, what could have been a far more serious situation was resolved safely.
